Detailed Itinerary of the Blue Mountains Sunset Tour

Travel into one of the world’s most spectacular World Heritage-listed national parks. Located 50 kilometres from Sydney CBD, the Blue Mountains is home to a diverse flora and fauna, many of them endemic to Australia, and a rich Aboriginal heritage.

A rugged mountain range of sandstone formations and steep cliffs, the Blue Mountains is known for its dramatic hue. The verdant vegetation and giant eucalyptus trees under the harsh Australian sun created a blue haze that colour the region.

Hike along the trail amidst the bushes toward an impressive local waterfall. After a delightful picnic lunch, explore the region to view the amazing Jamison Valley. Get up close to the storied sandstone formation, the iconic Three Sisters.

Enjoy getting close with nature with some terrific photographic vantage points, we learn about the history and culture of the local indigenous people of Australia as well as the native flora and fauna.

Then descend into the heart of a verdant ancient rainforest to explore further. You have the option to take the world’s steepest railway, the Scenic Railway. Upon returning to Sydney, reflect on the day’s adventure filled with fun moments and unforgettable experiences.

Reflect on the mysteriously fascinating beauty of the Three Sisters sandstone rock formations, one of New South Wales best known attractions.  By day, the sun gives them colour. By night, floodlights are projected against the rocks. The result is a spectacular view of the sisters against the backdrop of a dark night sky.

Late afternoon after watching the sunset over this pristine national park, we head into town to grab a bite to eat before heading back to the city.  Note we only use one centralised drop off point located on George St, Sydney Central.
